I am extremely happy as i finished my january exams today (although not so happy that i forgot everything during them and the fact i have mock exams in two months). I'm going to end up spending the next few days doing as little school work possible to recover. I think a celebratory shopping trip is in need too.

So far i've actually managed to stick to a couple of my new years resolutions... you should all feel very proud. Mostly because i've managed to not buy anything from topshop at all (oh the temptation) and go into mcdonalds with friends numerous times without getting anything there either. Forget about exams - that's what i call an achievement. Which reminds me i probably should be revising now, but rookiemag.com and listening to the horrors (who i'm seeing on sunday! oh yeahh) is far more interesting.

Happy new year everyone!!! I hope 2011 was lovely to you all, but now it's time to look forward! This year i thought i only had a couple of new year resolutions but when i wrote them down it turned out it was wrong. Here is my (shortened) list:

get a job
stop buying clothes in topshop (i do this way too much and always get annoyed when i do, it's ridiculously overpriced for the quality of the clothes.)
stop eating at mcdonalds (i do this too much too, and when trying to get into my jeans..it's starting to show ha)
marry alex turner
try more new things

hopefully i'll stick to them (although the alex turner one may be a slight challenge) , what are yours?

i went on an un-purposeful blogging hiatus which was just over the summer when i was busy which just turned into laziness...shame on me.

Thought i'd start again though and i'm so excited as it's nearly christmas, an excuse to put up tack decorations, wear extremely high shoes to christmas parties and eat loads whilst doing nothing. And christmas songs, who doesn't love them? I've had wham, the waitresses and best coast on repeat for the past week just because they're christmas songs are simply amazing. I think i've become one of those annoying overly festive people so i'll stop now.

Looking quite moody in the sun, haha. Last night i went to see my favourite band, arctic monkeys in sheffield. It was so amazing and i could go on about it forever but i don't want to bore you all! Probably the roughest crowd i've ever been in, in a good way though!

I love the whole aesthetics to these pictures and how the outfits look feminine without being girly. And the graininess of them too, i love that in pictures. When i think of "the urban outfitters girl" i always think of long hair and lace curtains, although i think the clothes look good on anyone because, well... they're from urban outfitters. It makes me want to go on an urban outfitters shopping spree so much, haha.

Here's an interview with arctic monkeys (which the setting i also think fits in slightly with the above pictures). I don't know if any of you have heard any of their new album, but it's amazing, just thought i'd tell you! They really do get better and better with each album.

I don't know who else watched the royal wedding on friday, but as someone from britain i certainly did! I'm going to try not to drift off on to everything about the day and stick to talking about the dress! My god, it was amazing wasn't it? Sarah Burton did an amazing job of making a dress which looks stylish but classic, and simple without being boring. I am in love with the lace sleeves (apparently the people who made it had to wash their hands every 30 minutes to make sure it stayed pure white - woah)
I actually cannot stop looking at it, there are no flaws. And obviously Kate (or the duchess of Cambridge) looked amazing as a whole. I think the whole event on a whole was lovely, and for some reason it made me very proud to be british, haha.
Also i cannot wait until the next royal wedding, because it will be between Prince Harry and I, obviously...

Chilling in the park, i forgot to take a picture of what i was wearing, but luckily there was an accidental shot, ha. This outfit would look probably look nicer without the cardigan and some small wooden wedges, but i was cold and walking on cobbles so i decided to put comfort before appearance haha. It was quite sunny today which has made me really excited for summer, apart from the fact that there are too many things i want to wear for summer, i just need to stop spending all my money on magazines, coffee and cheesecake, it's becoming a really bad habit that whenever i go for a coffee with a friend, i always end up getting the same pice of cheesecake...i can't help it being so damn nice.

So it's my half term break, and also all of the fashion weeks, sounds great right? It should be, but as soon as i get back i have three exams so my break has been spent revising with the odd trip out. I haven't even had time to look at the latest runway photos- as soon as i do i'll probably end up doing a post bout how depressingly beautiful all of the lines are. I knew it was coming, a post about Alexa! Iam too obsessed with alexa chung, she just always manages to look so effortlessly beautiful and cool. Yes there are models, actresses and other it girls i love, but there's something about alexa which i have loved for years, ha. Maybe it's because she's very british, or that even as her style changes over the years, i still look at an outfit she's wearing, however different it may be, it still looks "so alexa" haha. The obsession can get a bit depressing though, as she's just too damn beautiful and cool to look at.

I haven't been up to too much recently, but at the weekend i did go to see black swan (which i'm sure other bloggers have probably mentioned too) and it was AMAZING. I recommend you all see it! Natalie Portman plays the role so well, at the whole story is so well put together with such a beautiful (and tragic) ending. Plus some of the costumes, designed by Rodarte, are beautiful too. When i see them dance it really makes me wish i did ballet. Another Film i really want to see is the kings speech. A few of my friends have seen it and apparently it's truly remarkable. I guess i'll have to wait and see.

Ok, so a little lack of posting has been going on, which is already one of my new year resolutions broken! But yes, here is some stuff i got new in, which isn't very clearly shown but you'll get to see them all properly in later posts. The first picture has a thin knitted jumper/dress i got in the topshop sale and then next to that a dipped hem jersey top i got in the sale too. After that i have a suede elbow patch jumper i got in the zara sale and then some indigo studded shorts from topshop! Then there's the shoes..oh the shoes! Only £20 in the topshop sale- what a steal, haha. I'm rather surprised at the sales this year, they're usually awful! And then lastly there/s a close up of the dress my sister got me for christmas- i love it so much!

Happy new year, and a rather late merry christmas too! Sorry for the extremely long gap, christmas time is rather busy ha. So yeah, for christmas i got dvds, books (including Luella's guide to english style and what would audrey do) money, clothes (a whistles dress from my sister- yay!), jewelry etc...

Anyway, hope you're all having a good new year so far, my resolutions are: be more organised, blog more, take more opportunities, grow my hair longer (more of a plan than a resolution!), do well in my GCSE's, find time to read more and spend my money more wisely (don't think that will happen...). Just realised that there's actually quite alot there, and i probably have more. What are your new year resolutions? They're probably alot better than mine, i have a feeling mine will mostly be broken after a week.

Oh my, it's another unrealistic wish list. Then again, i think it would be impossible for me to make a realistic one. I can't believe it's already december, but then again this means christmas! I always tend to get really excited an then realise that i have next to no money to buy everyone things, so this year i'll probably end up making 100s of christmas biscuits to give out instead, it'll be interesting to see how they turn out...

Today i went to see Harry Potter, all i can say is that it was absolutely AMAZING. I'm a complete Harry Potter nerd, ha. Here are a few of my favourite street style pictures at the moment. This winter i really want a jumper or cardigan that's either a burgundy or tobacco colour, loads of over the knee socks, something velvet (i'll probably end up making a velvet skirt soon), more shirts, a big black back (maybe with zips? i don't know) and a scarve like the lady in the 4th picture is wearing on her wrist, ha. once again, my wish lists have become too long and too expensive.

I keep forgetting to do this post, so it's a tad late, but here are some of my London fashion week favourites:

ACNE: The colours, the fabrics, the layering, the models, the hair. Is there really anything not perfect about acne? I don't think so.

Charles Anastase: I love the muted tones in this collection, as well as the odd slash of colour. The collection is so elegant and chic. And don't even get me started on the shoes...

Erdem: This collection is simply lovely. Erdem never fail to impress. And those adorable hair styles? I'll definitely be having a go.

Hannah Marshall: I love the simplicity in this collection. It makes you look at smaller details like the double collar on the dress in the middle and things like that. I also generally love the colours and fabrics too.

Other favourites of mine were Richard Nicoll, Jaeger London, Vivienne Westwood red label, and basso&brooke. Who were your favourites?

i know we're already onto London now, but here are a few of my many favourite collections from New York Fashion week:

3.1 Phillip Lim: what can i say? I practically loved every single piece of this collection. I really cannot see a pice i wouldn't wear! It was hard to choose favourites from the collection, hence the amount of looks i squeezed in the picture. I really do hope some high street shop copies the shoes, because they really a HEAVENLY.

Mulberry: This collection is so lovely and adorable, with (in my opinion) a slightly luella-esque vibe to it. Although, as nice as it is, nothing can ever live up to, or look as good as luella. From the flowery surroundings, to the lovely shades of pink, brown and blue, everything about this collection reminds me of spring.

Rodarte: As you can see, it's been pretty hard to get all the looks on one piece, even with ALOT of narrowing down. I now really feel the need for a pale green shirt, a purple lace shirt and some patterned trousers. I can't look at the clothes for too long because it just gets depressing at how nice they are.

Proenza Shouler: I love this colletion so much, everything about it is so cool and chic. One of my favourite pieces has to be the tie dye dress which Abbey Lee is wearing (on the far left).

Another one of my favourites was Jil Stuart but i can't narrow down her collection to put a few on a page, ha. I also know that we're already into London fashion week, which is one of my favourites, I really wish i was there right now.

As i'm an extremely boring person, what would you like to see on my blog? I'm thinking of doing a couple of DIY's but i really want to do more to make my blog more interesting, ha. Today i went around the shops finding lovely clothes to save up for (or to wait until the sales! ha). The trends this winter are so nice it's unfair. Which one's your favourite? I love the camel trend, especially as i own a camel coat, ha. I bought it in early summer not knowing it would become a trend and it turned out to be a massive one! Lucky, haha.

At one point we were having more than one taken at the same time and a man in a cafe near by took a picture on his phone, ha. Also, a japanese woman in H&M thought we were famous and asked for a picture with us, haha. You've got to love London, ha. xxx

It was so much fun seeing Laurie, Lily and Charlotte and mocking chavs dancing to Tinie Tempah, haha. We saw Darwin Deez, Ellie Goulding, Los Campesinos!, The Courteeners and some others. I also ended up seeing loads of random people, like other bloggers and also someone i went to primary school with, ha. I could Probably ramble on about the day for ages but i'm sure that would bored you all! Hope everyone's having a nice holiday, and that it's sunnier than my typical England weather xx

It's finally summer! I broke up from school on thursday, but of course, it's been kind of rainy for the first few days. Yesterday i went for the typical "meal and shopping" trip with my friends. I haven't been on a proper day out in ages so it was really nice. When i went into starbucks to get a latte, i ended up getting a massive free sample of a frappuccino - result. I'm so cheap, aha. Anyway, now that it's the holidays of my interesting posts. At the moment i can't stop listening to vampire weekend, it's putting me in the summer mood despite the fact that the weather is boring. xx

Eeek - it's nearly the holidays! I cannot wait as i'm so tired, and i've already made so many fun plans. I still don't have a camera (although i am very close to getting my nikon d3000) but i have a temporary phone, with a rubbish camera. Not only has my normal camera broken, but my phone has now too! I really don't know how i'm surviving, haha. This means i won't have many posts at the moment (do i really do many posts anyway?) This weeks weather has been so lovely. Today I went to the city for the sales and I am half happy about them. The zara sale was so so good, about 4/5 of the shop was on sale. I saw about 5 bags that i wanted, and so many shorts. the bad thing? i couldn't get any of them! haha. All the nice bags were zara collection so even on sale they were atleast £50. Other good sales were whistles and mango, although i only got something from mango. You can probably guess that it's the shirt, ha. I was going to buy it when it wasn't on sale but when i went in to get it, it was £20 cheaper (whoo). The topshop sale was so big that i got bored and just left it. I really wasn't amazed by it. (well, apart from the shoes, i saw three pairs i wanted but i'd already spent my money)

Also, i've lost my comments! I suppose i didn't post alot and they're only comments but i really enjoyed reading them and i also never got a chance to write down all of the books (thank you for recommending some).

I am so bad at posting! I cannot believe how long it's been. I guess I didn't want to do loads of pointless things to fill the time.

Well, i've been quite busy lately. At the weekend i did a show at the london palladium, which was stressful but so much fun. Apart from that all i've been doing lately is reading. My latest book was "the perks of being a wallflower" It's was and easy read, but really interesting at the same time. This is such a cheesy phrase but, i really recommend it.

Other news: sushi in my lunch? very nice compared to the usual weekday sandwich or salad, haha. Man i love sushi. and my sister for giving me the sushi, haha

Ok, i realise i haven't posted in ages and i'm sorry for that. These past few days have been so nice so i've been outside "soaking up the sun" instead of sitting by the computer doing nothing. On wednesday i went to the beach which was great as it was the first day of this mini heat wave, although when i went i forgot my disposable camera and my digital one broke! I was going to do an outfit post then and yesterday but mine and my sister's cameras are both broken so i won't be taking any pictures for a while unless my Dad lets me use his nice camera.

Yesterday i went shopping for a friends birthday and once again, went to amerettos for lunch (although this time i got mozzarella and pesto of rye bread instead of fudge. I like to think this time i went for a slightly better option)

Yesterday i went to see an art exhibition of things Mick Jones (from the clash) had collected. It was really good, he had loads of sex pistols and beatles posters along with 100s of magazines and records. I managed to sneak a few pictures with my phone (hence, the bad quality) of a couple of things.

After that I went and got my hair cut and i was really surprised because it actually turned out ok, haha. Although winter is usually my preferred season, the sun has been so nice! I can already see myself getting a bit of a tan. I cannot wait until schools over, it's not even half term yet i've already got a big line of plans for the summer holidays. All i need now is some money!

Sorry for the lack of posting. I really am un-interesting (well, last friday, my hair did kind of catch slightly on fire, but that's ok now, i still have a head of hair!). Today has been good, 3 out of 5of my lessons today had supplies, which translates as "free lesson", haha. My friends who usually listen to the saturday's and scouting for girls suddenly told me that my music taste was great and if they could borrow alot of it. I'm surprised at the big step from tik tok to girlfriend in a coma. I almost feel proud, aha.

In other news, i was messing around with my hair to day, trying to do a fishtail braid but gave up and ended up doing it wrong and, really not doing it at all, but when i looked at my hair in the mirror it turned out i'd made a really nice (although, totally different) hairstyle. The only problem is that i can't remember how i did it!

Also, RIP Ian Curtis, 30 years today.

I'm not sure if it's just people i know, but not many people seem to like Freja Beha's look. Personally i think she looks so edgy and cool and in my opinion she is beautiful. I love her cheek bones and how she isn't typically "pretty". If your still not convinced, just look at these pictures, she looks undoubtably amazing in them!

Today after having a shower i walked into my room and hanging up in my room was a karl who t-shirt my sister had made me! It was a really random surprise, haha. Although it was slightly ruined by later on my dad saying "so, who is Karl?"

But seriously, i'm not exaggerating when i say i have the best sister in the world! We both really want to go to paris together around christmas time, even though i'm hopefully going on a French trip with my school then anyway.

Speaking of Paris, i've been listening to loads of French music for the past few weeks and have ended up getting my best friend and sister into it too! I really like Juliette Greco, Brigitte Bardot, the plastiscines (who's album my sister got for me, another reason why she's great, haha) and a couple of songs by Yelle. I'm not sure who i like more out of Juliette Greco and Brigitte Bardot because Brigitte is very bubbly and always puts me in a good mood, But Juliette Greco is so romantic and sophisticated.

Today the topshop make-up range opened and honestly, i'm not really impressed. Ok, so it's topshop so it won't be awful but i can tell that it will probably sell alot just because of where it's from. Knowing me i'll probably end up with something from it (maybe kohl in coal? i need some and i never really bother will expensive stuff like that) but over all i think you could do alot better for your money. Although i'm not overly impressed with the make-up, the website does have some nice tutorials and will be opening a virtual make over so it's not all bad!

Thank god it was a bank holiday yesterday! (although, it now feels like a monday)

Yesterday i went to see a friend in the city who had to move, so they came down for the day. Although, to be honest, it was slightly boring, haha. No one really knew what to do so we went to the apple store which was boring until Will forgot to sign out of facebook, so naturally Lorna and i just had to write him some new statuses, haha. Then i introduced everyone to chat roulette which was hilarious until we got kicked out the shop.

After lunch Lydia, Georgia, Tom and I ended up leaving everyone because they were really boring. Including Fabien who was the one who came up from cambridge, haha.

So we went to topshop and gave Tom a make over and then found out that it's his birthday on Wednesday so We're going to drag him to the shops next saturday to spend his birthday money properly. (although after adding up the cost of levis, a fred perry polo, a cambridge satchel company satchel and a few other things, he'll need around £350 of birthday money, haha)

I had way more fun going off than when i was in the big group, but it's just my luck that i see so many things i want when i have no money! Well, i do have money but i can't spent it.

So yeah, the other day i went to London for a shopping spree for my birthday, but of course something has to go wrong! First, in the morning we didn’t leave until nine, which really pissed me off because I wanted to get a train so that we wouldn’t hang about but my Mum was like “no we won’t!” which was a lie as we left an hour late. It wasn’t so bad when we got there (even though it was midday!) because my Dad was like “you go off and call me when you need money.” That is probably the best thing that my Dad has ever said, haha. So me and Rachel went to topshop but ended up spending three and a half hours there! (I regret that because then i never got to go to uniqlo or selfridges or whistles and stuff) I got two dresses there even though I tried on loads of other nice stuff, like the picture of the one shoulder dress, but i figured that I would never wear it because it’s way to prim/party-ish to wear anywhere that i would go.

After that we went to Carnaby street which was cool, i loved the shops and atmosphere there, A LOT nicer than oxford street etc. i knew it would happen - i also ended up falling out with my parents: the were being annoying and embarrassing, and then got annoyed at me because i wanted to got to the shops (i had no time to spare as they’d already wasted over an hour of my time in total). Then they made us sit down and eat somewhere because we hadn’t had anything since breakfast. What a waste of time. By then it was getting late but I still went to urban outfitters, zara, primark and American apparel. There were so many more shops I wanted to go in but i didn’t have time because my parents are such time wasters. Also, now that I think about it I could of got alot more clothes than i did but i chose not to because i felt bad, haha. All together i got two dresses, two skirts, three tops, tights, a jacket, a zip up hoodie and some shorts. Next time I'm going there early, going to brick lane and NOT bringing my parents.

On thursday it was my birthday and from my sister i got a lovely bag (which looks so much like the mulberry alexa!) and a really nice boater hat. I'd wanted one of them for ages but i forgot how nice they are! I also got make up, moneys, DVDs etc.. but on the friday i went to london for a shopping spree. I'll post more about that later.
